Finland is cold and windy at this moment. All autumn leaves are soon departing because of a few winds. It's getting dark quicker, however, there are a few things I do to cheer up a little in this weather.

1. I got some plants and flowers from my friends, seeing and taking care of them make me happy. People say plants can bring joy to us, I think it's true. Seeing beautiful flowers in the kitchen table after a tired working day makes me smile, having a plant in my room when I meditate can bring calm and zen feel, or seeing a new leave from a plant is exciting.

Here is a rose plant I got from my boyfriend and a Swiss cheese plant (split leaf philodendron) I got from my friend this summer.

2. Taking care of myself

There are many times I have negative thinking and wouldn't want to do anything. But I tried to take care of myself. For example, I start with something very simple: taking a shower, enjoy warm water flowing in the skin with favorite shower gel scent and relax with music on.

3. Meditation and yoga

It's easy for me not to do exercise. That's why I tried to do very short yoga every morning that wouldn't last longer than 2 minutes before I go to work.

4. Listening to music or reading good book

Someday I went home and laid in bed with my head phone, listened to music without doing anything else and I felt so good. My currently reading is “the life changing magic of tidying up”, it is really an inspiring book. I had de cluttered before but now I have a lot of stuffs. I will try if I can de clutter a gain.

Last but not least is the picture of my favorite products.

Bevita lip balm: I cannot live without this. My lower lip is super dry and breaks out easily. Since I know this lip balm from the pharmacy, I have used it almost 2 year and introduce it to my friends. It is my magic lip balm.

Garnier Micellar cleansing water: this product is super effective for removing makeup.

Lumene: I love many Lumene products because of its gentle and exotic clean fresh smell from nature like arctic berry...I have used this toner and it is good to my skin.

Biotherm aqua source ever plump: the jar is almost empty now. It keeps my skin well moisturized and smells like the ocean.

Shiseido ibuki refining moisturizer enriched: this is a second time I bought this product. I love the sophisticated subtle scent and it keep my skin hydrated for all day long.

I'm very happy with the way my skin look by using this oil. I not only apply in the night, but also use a bit in the morning too.



My Valentine gift this year from my boyfriend, a classic red rose and J'adore L'absolu. Definitely my favourite sent besides Elie Saab Le parfum and Dolce& Gabbana Dolce. I so love it, thank you ♡

My favourite products

L’Occitane is my favorite brand of all time, I have been liking their products for long time. From the packaging to scent, they are awesome. I remember years ago when I saved my money to buy the hand cream for winter or a shower gel, I felt very happy. 

Aromachologie Rebalancing Exfoliating Shower Gel

I bought this and used after a long and tired day of working, it smells very relaxing and calming. 

This is the Christmas gift from my friend last year. From left to right: pivoine flora, rose 4  reines, cherry blossom, amande. I have used the first three, except the almond one. Last but not least is verbena shower gel, my favorite which i don't have the picture here.

Shiseido BIO-PERFORMANCE Advanced Super Restoring Cream

My skin has been improved much after this, but it is a thick cream so best use is in the night before going to sleep. I wouldn’t use before makeup.
Sense Fluid Finish Foundation in the shade FF102 Soft ivory 

I love this foundation. Firstly, it suits my skin color very well. Secondly, it has a light/medium coverage, which makes me feel I had put nothing on my skin. Thirdly, it’s easy to apply which creates a smooth finish.

Free days at home

When I have free days from work, I’m looking forward to do nothing but rest and chilled out so I can get my energy back. 

What do i do to rewind? Here is the list of things I usually do to rewind myself:

1. I want to have a bathtub where I can immerse myself in warm water while listening to music (or not listening to music) with some lighted candles near by to create spa ambience. Unfortunately, I don't have a bathtub so I have to go with normal shower. One day, I tried to bring a candle to the bathroom and turned off the light but it was so dark so I ended up turning the light on and still keep the lit candles. It’s fine! The purpose is: to take a long shower, feel super clean and refresh
2. Put cream on my face and do a massage. It really makes me feel relaxed.
3. Put my feet in salted water. I have 2 bottles of foot soak: one is peppermint and another is lemon. To be honest, I feel lazy to do this sometimes except when I came to my boyfriend’s place, he brought a bucket of warm water with sea salt for me, the only thing I did was to put my feet in. How lucky I am!
4. Make some delicious meal.
5. Listening to music.
6. Do some short and simple yoga exercises.
7. Read books, news or watch movie on Netflix. In my case, sometimes I was browsing Internet very long, sometimes I spent whole night watching series on Netflix. Books: I only read what I found interesting.  

I like to clean my apartment, my mind is clear when things are clean and organized even though it’s hard to achieve it sometimes but I try whenever I can. And of course do laundry.

I believe plants and flowers bring positive energy. Those are flowers and plant my boyfriend and my friend gave me. I feel happy when I look at them, they just brighten a corner of my kitchen.

As a fan of moisturizers, I rarely do makeup or make up very lightly but moisturizer is a must for me, I want to feel my skin super hydrated. My favorite moisturizer is Kiehl’s which I bought in Stockman in Hullut päivät (crazy days) occasion and I love it, I used it up very quickly.

YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat

It’s difficult to find a foundation suitable for my skin tone and skin type that I feel great when I apply. Hesitate for a long time because the price is high for me, finally I decided to buy it after a few tries. It is a weightless, illuminating foundation that makes my skin look really beautiful. 

I apply with my fingers and it gives the luminous, flawless finish. The shade B 30 beige best suits me.  It is one of the most fantastic foundations I have had so far. With light-medium coverage, the texture is smooth and lightweight. And yes, I would definitely consider buying it again.  

Estée Lauder advanced night repair serum

What could I say? A great serum; my skin wakes up more beautiful and I can apparently feel it. It’s truly expensive but the bottle lasts a year for me.

MAC Catharina Ultimate Lipstick

In Helsinki day, my friends and I gather together in the city center and we passed by Mac store. Unfortunately, I saw this lipstick and fall in love with it immediately. When I tried to put it on, a friend said the color looks like Korean trend. I bought it not because of my friend compliment though I also like Korea but because I think the color really fits me. I don’t have and don’t like bright lipstick but I am really into this one.

According to Temptalia website, Catharina is described as a “fuchsia.” It’s a bold, bright fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones and a luminous finish. It had mostly opaque color coverage, but there’s a slight translucency that gives it a lighter look applied to the lips.
